Haleigh x Cameron

Some love stories feel like they’ve been written long before the couple even knows it, and Haleigh and Cameron’s is one of those. These two technically met when Haleigh was just a few days old, and both of their moms worked together. He’s about two years older, and as kids, Haleigh always had the biggest crush on him. Life, of course, took them in different directions, but this past March, they reconnected, and the rest is history. After years of crossing paths, they finally found their way back to each other, and the joy they share is undeniable.

For their session, Haleigh and Cameron joined me at the lake for a golden summer evening. Their personalities shine through together, fun, outgoing, and a little goofy, and that made capturing them feel effortless. We laughed, played, and let their natural connection take over. One of my favorite moments? At the very end of the shoot, they decided to run straight into the lake, clothes, makeup, everything. That spontaneous, fearless decision made for some of the most breathtaking photos. It’s always such a privilege to photograph couples who are willing to embrace the moment fully, and these two did just that.

I’ve worked with Haleigh many times over the years, and she’s been a friend long before we ever started creating together. It’s always special to photograph her, but this time felt even more meaningful. Seeing her so happy and in love with Cameron was a gift.

To me, this session perfectly captured what love should feel like: playful, genuine, adventurous, and deeply affectionate. When they look back at these photos years from now, I hope they’ll remember not just how they looked, but how they felt, full of laughter, love, and maybe a little bit of lake water.
