Alexis x Kolby

Alexis and Kolby kicked off my free 30-minute fall mini photoshoot series this August, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start. Alexis and I have been friends for years, so it felt extra special to finally have her and Kolby in front of my camera. Knowing the two of them personally meant I could really focus on capturing their personalities, the playful teasing, the genuine laughter, and those sweet, in-between moments that make their relationship unique.

Their love story is one of growth and resilience. Both came from past toxic relationships, neither looking for something new when they met. But Kolby was there for Alexis during one of the most challenging times of her life, and from there, their bond only grew stronger. Now, they’re that couple who can make each other laugh in an instant, who enjoy late-night drives with music up loud, and who are just as happy playing pool or bowling as they are cooking dinner at home.

Our session at Jackass Hill in Littleton was full of energy and joy. These two were down for adventurous poses, but also knew how to slow it down for a couple of intimate black-and-white shots that perfectly balanced the fun. Their comfort with PDA made every moment feel natural, and I loved watching their chemistry shine through without me having to prompt it.

Photographing friends can sometimes feel like pressure, but with Alexis and Kolby, it was effortless. I walked away from the shoot feeling like I’d not only captured beautiful images, but also bottled up a piece of their love to look back on years from now.
