Anny x Jeremy

Some sessions remind me exactly why I love being a photographer, and this was definitely one of them. I met up with Anny, her husband Jeremy, and their adorable son Dominic to celebrate one of the sweetest seasons of their lives as they waited to welcome their baby girl. We originally planned to photograph their session at the Highlands Ranch Mansion, but when we arrived, we quickly realized there was a wedding taking place. Instead of letting that throw off the day, we pivoted last minute and headed over to Hudson Gardens, which honestly ended up being the perfect choice.

If you know me, you know Hudson Gardens is one of my favorite places to photograph sessions. It has so many beautiful little spots, and no matter where you turn, there’s something that photographs beautifully. We spent the morning wandering through the gardens, taking our time, enjoying the scenery, and capturing this exciting chapter for their family. Sometimes the unexpected changes end up creating the best memories, and I think this session is proof of that.

One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to spend time with Dominic. He had so much personality and kept us all laughing the entire session. Between taking photos, we even played tag through the gardens for a little while, which was honestly one of my favorite memories from the day. I love when kids feel comfortable enough to just be themselves because those genuine moments always end up making the best photographs.

From the beginning, Anny shared that she wanted her photos to feel simple, natural, timeless, and full of genuine emotion. She loved my bright, authentic editing style and wanted a gallery that focused on the connection between her family rather than stiff or overly posed portraits. I loved bringing that vision to life while documenting the excitement, anticipation, and love they already shared before their daughter even arrived.

As I’m writing this now, baby girl has officially made her arrival, which makes looking back on these photos even more special. Congratulations to Anny and Jeremy on welcoming your beautiful daughter into the world, and congratulations to Dominic on becoming a big brother! It has been such an honor to capture this chapter of your family’s story, and I hope these photos always remind you of the excitement, joy, and love that filled this season before your family of three became a family of four.
