There’s something so fun about watching two complete strangers meet for the very first time, especially when both of them walk into it fully willing to laugh, be themselves, and embrace the awkwardness of a blind date. That was exactly the energy between Will and Chiara during their blind date photoshoot with me at Washington Park. From the second they met, the nerves were definitely there, but honestly, that’s part of what makes these sessions so special. There’s something really authentic about those first laughs, the slightly awkward introductions, and slowly watching two people figure each other out in real time. What made these two stand out so quickly was how naturally playful and warm they both were. Will brought such a bright, outgoing energy to the session, while Chiara instantly made everything feel easy and comfortable. The more they talked, the more it felt like they had known each other way longer than just a few minutes.

We spent the afternoon walking around the park, stopping by the lake, wandering through the trees, and somehow accidentally creating the most dreamy “fake fall in spring” vibe ever. Between the earthy tones, soft light, and the way the trees framed them, you genuinely would’ve thought this session happened in October instead of springtime. The whole date felt cinematic in the sweetest, most effortless way.

One of my favorite things about blind date sessions is that no one walks in knowing exactly what’s going to happen. There’s no perfectly curated love story yet, no polished timeline, no pressure for things to be anything other than what they are in the moment. It’s just two people showing up with open minds and seeing where the night takes them. And honestly? Will and Chiara made that look really cute. The best part was watching how quickly the conversation started flowing once the nerves settled. There was constant laughing, teasing, little side comments to each other, and that comfortable energy that slowly builds when two people genuinely enjoy being around one another. They balanced each other really naturally, fun, social, curious, and both were completely open to just enjoying the experience for what it was.

Whatever happens next for these two is no longer up to me, and I think that’s part of the beauty of this project. Maybe this was the start of something meaningful, maybe it becomes a friendship, or maybe it simply becomes a really fun memory they’ll always have. Either way, I got to capture the beginning of a story neither of them saw coming, and honestly, that’s pretty special. And if nothing else… they absolutely succeeded in convincing everyone it was fall in the middle of spring. 🍂🤍
