Alicia x Dennis

Some couples are easy to photograph because they know exactly how to pose. Other couples are easy to photograph because they’re completely and utterly in love. Alicia and Dennis were definitely the second kind. I had the chance to photograph their engagement session during one of my mini session days, and from the moment they stepped in front of my camera, it was obvious how much they care about each other. These two have been together for six years after meeting online and discovering they had countless things in common, including a surprising number of random connections. Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life together, sharing not only their relationship but also their home, their work, and plenty of beloved fur babies.

One of my favorite things about photographing couples is getting to observe the little moments between them. The way they look at each other, the way they naturally gravitate toward one another, and the quiet comfort they share say more than any pose ever could. Alicia and Dennis have that kind of connection. Even during a quick mini session, their love was impossible to miss.

When they aren’t planning their wedding or spending time with their pets, you’ll likely find them fishing, antiquing, thrifting, or working on crafts together. Those shared interests and years of building a life side by side have created a relationship that feels both playful and deeply rooted. Throughout their session, we captured a mix of laughter-filled moments and softer, more romantic images that truly reflected who they are as a couple.

One thing Alicia mentioned before the session was wanting to look back at these photos years from now and remember how happy they were. Looking through their gallery, I think we accomplished exactly that. Every image feels genuine, joyful, and full of the kind of love that only grows stronger with time.

I am so excited for Alicia and Dennis as they prepare for their October wedding. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with so much love, laughter, and beautiful memories.
