Some sessions are about updating a profile picture. Others are about capturing a new season of life. When Rohit reached out for a headshot session, he was looking for photos that felt authentic to who he is today. After an incredible year of personal growth, fitness achievements, and professional success, he wanted images that reflected more than just his appearance; he wanted them to tell a story.

We met during one of my mini session days at Hudson Gardens, and from the moment we started talking, I knew this session was going to be a fun one. Rohit is currently finishing his PhD in Health Communication, works in public health leadership, and somehow still finds time for competitive tennis, lifting, travel, cooking, and exploring Colorado. He’s thoughtful, driven, and incredibly easy to talk to.

One thing I loved about working with Rohit was how much trust he placed in me throughout the session. He wanted photos that felt natural and approachable while still highlighting the confidence he has built through his fitness journey. Rather than stiff, traditional headshots, we focused on creating images that felt relaxed, genuine, and full of personality.

Because these photos were primarily for dating profiles and social media, it was important that they showcased the real Rohit. We focused on natural smiles, candid moments, and the kind of images that help someone feel like they’re getting to know the person behind the photo.

Like many people, Rohit admitted that being in front of the camera doesn’t come naturally. But by the end of the session, he was fully trusting the process, embracing the experience, and having fun with it, which always leads to the best images. Rohit, thank you for trusting me with this chapter of your story. It was such a pleasure working with you, and I’m so excited for you to put these photos out into the world.
